Three Things Thursday!

I finally remembered! Yay for me, ok here are my big three for the day...

  1.  Let's take a moment to bow our heads and give thanks for the miracle taking place tonight...  that's right, So You Think You Can Dance is back on! I wait all year for this show and it often brings me tears. My school didn't have a dance team, but if it did I may have done that instead of one of my sports. It would have been a tough call, but dancing is the one thing I always wished I had been able to do. Not saying I am a gifted groover and shaker or anything, but I love it! My anticipation may even cause me to watch it live (my DVR is gasping at me!)
  2.  My hubby is gone for 3 days to State Track in Cheney. I don't know how you army wives, single moms, and those with traveling husbands do it. I have always had an innate ability to freak myself out at night. "What was that noise?" "Is someone at the door?" "Am I sure that wasn't an alien that just walked by the window?" All these things run through my head and I come up with completely nonsensical scenarios to explain what I think I heard or saw. So while Jesse is off playing Laser Tag, I will be at home sleeping with the TV on so I can't hear the random noises!
  3. I want to give a big shout out to Stacie at Impossible is Nothing. She participated in the Relay for Life last weekend and if that isn't enough, she took the middle of the night shift (in the rain) and beat her previous best mileage (again, in the rain!) Long time readers know Stacie and I don't live far apart and have been known for our crazy photos and convincing our husbands to do dumb stuff. Since I have been laid up I haven't been able to see her much or partake in any races or training with her. I miss her, but I know she is out doing great things on her own!
In case you don't remember, we all did lunges at Applebees!

Did I mention I am excited for SYTYCD! Well I am!

Love me some SYTYCD and Stacie!

Thank goodness the show starts tonight, as my DVR sits empty without Greys Anatomy and Private Practice to record.

i LOVE SYTYCD! I danced for close to 18 years and taught for 4! I miss it but it was incredibly time consuming. I'm still in love with Travis Wall he was brilliant! And my friend was one it two seasons ago (Caitlin Kinney...she did the awesome Jai Ho dance!). Can't wait! But I have to DVR it =(

All I can say is Wow. I was reading down your post and now I'm in tears. Totally unexpected. Thank you so much for the amazing shout out. I've missed you like crazy. I'm helping my stepmom this weekend or I'd totally come camp at your house. I like to think I'm a pretty good body guard :) Call me if you need me. I love you guys!!!

BTW ~ Just found another virtual race for Autism. Check out my sidebar for the link.

I used to love SYTYCD, but I stopped watching partway through last season. It started to get a little too contrived and I wasn't crazy about the all-star format. Don't get me wrong, I liked seeing my favorite dancers back, but it was a little too much like Dancing With the Stars.

However, I just read that they're starting with 20 again this season and not bringing the all-stars back until the top 10, so maybe I'll give it another chance.

Tell the Coach that the Run Less, Run Faster is MAGIC!!! It changed me from a 9:30-min long run pacer to a 7:44-min long run pacer (as of today). It's absolutely insane. I can't say enough. I've been on it since Feb, which is a fair amount of time, but my running just keeps getting better & better. If he tries the program, I'll be excited to see how he likes it!

Ummm I am pretty sure I'm the biggest SYTYCD fan there is... I too have been WAITING for it to start!!! I LOVE it!!! We can talk choreographers, past dance numbers and dancers for days... ;)

I hate when the hubby is out of town too...the first night is always the worst.

And yay for running friends...it makes it that much more fun when you meet up again for something special!
