So raceday came and went sans soda and I was so happy with my race I had to celebrate with, you guessed it, a can, or umm 2 liter of dew. But I vowed that day that I was going to go easy on the soda and use it for the occasional celebration or pick-me-up. And at first everything went as planned.
Fast forward back to the present and I have officially fallen off the wagon, and I have the dew belly and breath to prove it. Today makes 4 days in a row with a soda... that's right, 4 days! I just can't help it, it tastes so wonderful and makes me feel all happy on the inside. Like that feeling you get when you just finished watching a new America's Top Model Community. I find myself thinking "hey, it's not a problem, I can give it up anytime I want." But I'm pretty sure I'm wrong. Adorable wife gives me the "look" when I ask her for a dew when she is in the kitchen, especially yesterday when I asked for a second (which she was nice enough not to bring to me).
I think I need some encouragement in getting back on the wagon (even if I have to be thrown on and clutch feebly on to a wheel for a while) and keep away from the bubbly stuff. I know I need to get in the groove with my training. Does anyone else suffer or did anyone else suffer from a dew addiction? Please tell me I'm not alone...

No Dew addiction, sorry. But there are plenty of things I love that aren't good for me. My solution is simple: don't buy it = don't eat (or drink) it.
GET BACK ON THE WAGON!
(...I'm yelling...can you tell? :)
Well...I used to love Dew in High school. It was a family addiction really. After moving here (12 years ago), I just stopped buying it. Now, when I try to drink it or a Dr. Pepper my body is like "WHAT THE FREAK IS THAT?" Can't stand the stuff now. So, stop buying it. Stop buying it. Stop buying it. Replace it with bottled water. That way when you go to get something cold to 'wet your whistle' you're not tempted by those cans of sugar screaming your name.
Hey have you met my husband he is not only has the pop problem but also energy drinks. He was just saying the other day he wants to quite drinking so much soda. Maybe you too can dew it together. Erica
I don't have a Dew problem , but I DO have a Diet Pepsi problem - haha! But only Canadian Diet Pepsi. The stuff in the U.S. is different and tastes TERRIBLE.
My name is Stacie and I LOVE Diet Mt. Dew. When I first lost all my weight I switched to Diet pop. I can't stand the normal stuff now. When I am in super strict mode a Diet pop now and then is my treat. I admit I started to drink it more frequently in the past months but I have found I'm not into it as much lately. I'm hoping I can stick with this trend since I know it's not healthy for me. It's hard to give up during those times when I'm being super strict and can't have any treats at all. Good luck!!! You are not alone.
