Good news!

After much careful thought and prayer we have decided, not to move to Minnesota! I really appreciate all of your comments and words of advice. I know that someday I may have to move away from my family, and it will suck, but I am sure I will come out a stronger person on the other end. However, now just doesn't seem to be that time. So, the more local job hunt continues. Even Seattle would be fine, it is still within driving distance, but the ultimate hope is that we can stay in our house since we just bought it and don't want to pay back the $8,000 the government was so kind to give us.

Grandpa with his boys!

In other great news, it is snowing. I love everything about Christmas and the holiday season. Snow just makes everything so pretty! I love just gazing out the window as it flutters and floats and swirls around. I'm sure I'll still even measure it like when I was a kid hoping for a snow day. Unfortunately, snow days don't apply to real jobs, but if we get one, maybe I can take the kids out to play with Grandpa since he's a teacher and snow days are exciting for him too!

And the last piece of good news is for you guys! With snow comes the season of giving, and what better time to have a giveaway. The snow is telling me tomorrow would be a great day for a giveaway!

Glad you were able to come to a decision! What a peaceful feeling to have made a big decision and then being able to move on! I love Christmas too but we don't get snow like you guys so we get excited over even a few flakes. I'll look for your giveaway. I'm doing one too so please check it out (it is non-running related though) :)

i love snow days too. unfortunately WSU doesnt get too many especially when you work for the crummy university. they dont believe in staying home when the snow is pretty much 6 feet tall (ok i exxagerate...)

I bet just making the decision has been a big relief. I hope the job hunt goes quickly! Glad you have your family close!

And yes a holiday week is a perfect time for snow! We got about a 8 inches and will probably get another 2 feet this week! So fun for the kids while they're out of school!

Glad you guys came to a decision. And, judging by the tone, it sounds as if it is definitely the right one for you.

Snow? I'm not ready for it yet - too much laundry.

Good call on not moving. There will be a right time for that. As for the snow...I loved it, until it took me an hour and a half to get home tonight...lame!

I was going to comment on the MN post, but figured I would just catch up here. Good call on not moving away from fam. We actually moved CLOSER to fam 2 years ago and I wouldn't move back (while we had kids) for the world. I think you made the right decision.
