Help, Please, ASAP!

Ok, my Tri is tomorrow and this may sound dumb, but I am really stressing over what to wear! Yes, this is a FASHION EMERGENCY! So, here is what I am planning on wearing...

Now first question. The shorts are tri shorts BUT they are Jesse's. His are much more compressiony than mine (I don't know if I ordered mine too big or if that is just a difference between men's and women's) and they are all black, so is it ok to wear men's shorts even though the chamois if different?

Question 2. The top is also a tri top, but with barely being able to walk, I am afraid of losing any time and feeling uncomfortable so should I ditch the top in the swim and and just do it in my sports bra (even though I am sure the world does not need to see my tummy ever)? Or will it not slow me down?

Thank you so much for any help and insight you can provide!

If I were you I'd wear Jesse's shorte (if they fit and you're comfortable) with your tri top for the entire race. If you need the support, wear the bra top too. Tri tops fit snug and they won't cause you to loose that much time.

From my limited experience, tri tops are meant to be used in the water. It you zip it up all the way you should get any drag. Plus, also from experience, pulling a shirt onto a very wet body coming out of the water is probably going to take up way more time than a little drag while you're swimming. I think the less changing/application of clothing you can get away with the better! No clue about the chamois though ... those are still a mystery to me.

I wear a sports bra under a tri top with my tri shorts. It saves a ton of time at transition. I watch other people spent several minutes changing into different clothes, but all i do is slip in my biking shoes, pull on the helmet and sunglasses and i'm off. Very fast.

I have no clue about the clothes...other than they're cute. :) But, I wanted to wish you luck!! I can't wait to hear how it goes!

Bra for sure because the water is cold and there's probably a race photographer (hello, headlights!) I like to wear a tri top, too, because of that whole fish-white baby-birthing belly thing, but maybe that's just me. Tri tops go in the water just fine. Hubby's shorts are perfectly acceptable if they fit okay. The chamois is so thin it's hardly gender-specific. Is the skirt a race-belt skirt and easy to clip on? Then go for it.
ROCK your race, girl!! Can't wait to hear about it!

If the shorts fit, I'd wear them with the top. Good luck with the clothes and the race!

Looks like you're getting good advice. I have absolutely no tri experience but wanted to say good luck, you'll be awesome!

If the shorts fit, wear them. I use to wear men's shorts because I found they had a more comfortable chamois. They fit lower in the waist, which I found to be the only difference.
The tri top should be fine. Personally, I would keep it on; I hate exposing my mommy tummy!
Love the gear. Good luck tomorrow.
